Detail Werkz - 2009 Porsche GTS
I maintain this vehicle for my client, but he called me with concern with swirls and light scratches starting to show in the paint. We booked my Platinum Gloss service.
We started by washing the vehicle using Dawn soap. I wanted to strip off any older polish that I had on the vehicle so I could really see what I was needing to remove. We then used the Green GI claybar and used a mixture of Dawn and water for our lube. Once we had the vehicle clayed we re-washed it again using the Dawn soap and rinsed the vehicle. Once we had the vehicle dry I was able to see the defects, swirls and fine to medium scratches. I only had 3 hours to do some magic so I grabbed my Makita, some of the GI Evolution Polish Beta and would start at 900, move the product around and then bump up the speed to 3000, work out what I could in a timely manor and then bump back down to 900 to jewel the paint and try to remove any buffer marks.
I did this process around the whole car, not worrying about the roof per the owners request. This process took me 1 hour and 30 mins to complete. Once I had the paint 70% - 80% swirls free I put on a coat of the Signature Gloss and topped it with two coats of the Concorso Gloss.
The interior was cleaned using the GI Satin Leather Cleaner, and then GI T.R.V. was using on all the interior vinyl, plastics and rubber items. We applied the GI Satin Leather Polish on the seats.
I applied some of the Gloss Finish on the rims and interior barrels of the rims to help cut down break dust. GI T.R.V. was applied on the wheel wells and a final spray down with GI Gloss Enhancer to finish off the detail.
I was pressed for time so I was not able to get before or during photos but here are some after shots. Enjoy...
