These experience detailer's spent 5 days of extensive training at the Gloss-it corp head quarters perfecting the art of paint correction with Gloss-it polishes, different polishers and GI foams pads. This course consist of learning to correct paint on a 90 to 100 percent level of correction from a variety of different type of paint imperfections (
swirl-marks, deep rids, car wash scratches, pig tail sand marks), Specific cars were choosen for their hardness of finish from single stage paint ( pigmented paint that pulls color to base coat clear coat paint thats soft and hard to finish down.
The class objective was to assess different paint correction options, diagnose the severity of the impefection and learn proper techniques for removing without damaging the paint and leaving a micro and hologram free finish.
The cars used for the class was a hammered 1991 Mitsubishi Stealth twin turbo black of course which was really in need of repaint and a 2005 corvette C5 that has very very hard paint and is difficult to correct 100%. Richie, Mark and Bob were up for the challenge.
First up to bat was the hammered Stealth. This car was
not going to correct 100%. Parts of the car had been repainted and some part had original paint from 19 years ago. Wow! As Bob clearly said this was a "problem child" And boy was he right!:bitenails:

Just one pass with extreme cut, 5.75 pad and Evp pad prime. 80 percent corrected...Not bad but far from done
We all realized this car was going to need an aggressive plan of action to come close to 95% correction.
