Got some questions about the beta finishing polish....

Hey guys,

So I'm working with the beta finishing polish, and when I was on the phone this morning with Rich, he said try it with every pad, it'll work amazing.

So.. naturally, I did. And it corrects amazingly well. I'm working on an IS250 right now, using the beta+yellow gi pad. But when I switch to the green or even blue finishing pads, I can't get it to a) finish down and b) wipe clean.

There's still minor holograms in the paint, I can post pics if need be, but I'm more concerned about it not wiping clean. I've tried using brand new towels, etc and I can't seem to get this oily substance off of the paint.

Ideas? Suggestions on how to get it to finish down? Maybe instead of just using the Beta.. step up to evo cut or evo polish??

Thanks in advance, guys

Aaron

After you have done the bulk of correction wipe off the product best you can. Then apply gloss enhancer to the panel and polish solely with that, hopefully that will reduce the micro marring while removing some of the older polish residue. I havent done this but a while back Bob suggested spraying some DI water on a panel when doing your wipedown to help buff off product. That could work as well seeing as you have a CRspotless. Also are you using EVP?

Alright, talked to Rich. I got the haze of the paint by spraying Gloss Enhancer while stepping down each RPM while jeweling. but I can get the freaking holograms out. I've never been able to finish down with GI polishes, it's a disease, I swear.. .

Let me get some pics real quick and post back up.

Edit, pics up:

Looking REAL good...

Problems I'm talking about.. Holograms. Only can be seen when direct light ISN'T shining on the panel, and you sway side to side. Super faint.. but there. Could sig sealant/concorso possibly remove them when I apply them with the flex? I even finished down with beta+red pad and Gloss Enhancer.. (had to break out the big daddy 70-300mm lens to capture these)

Aaron,

Those seem to be very light if they are holograms, hard to tell with the pictures. Yes they will 100% be gone by the time you polish with the flex and either the gloss finish or concorso and the Red 100ppi Ultra fine finish pad.

Sahweet! That's what I wanted to hear. I guess my "disease" is over. Screw the KB method.. I got to finish down 98% with 1 polish, and two pads, instead of two polishes and two pads .

Thanks Rich!!

When using the finish polish Aaron, buff with the Flex until the product is almost gone then wipe with Gloss enhancer lightly in case the paint is soft.

Also at the end when applying lsp, try two coats of Concorso back to back(example apply with flex DA then wipe repeat) the difference is clear to see.

If I'm going to put sig.sealant on below concorso, should I only do one coat of sig.sealant, then apply concorso over the top, remove both, then apply one more?

I'll try it out with the flex too!

Aaron ,just double up on the concorso apply with the Flex or cyclo do half of the car repeat then remove with a microfiber, you will see a difference.

Remember thin coats and drive the concorso into the paint really good= money
