This is a rare occasion to find yourself in the prescence of one of the most gorgeous cars in the world. It literary rivals the batmobile from the first Batman, in my humble opinion. The lines are sharp. The grills everywhere look majestic. Even when its not moving it looks as if it flies.
How, then, is it possible that this majestic, new car had swirl marks and holograms?
Here's how we found the problem.
First step: remove any masking waxes and agents. We use a 30/70 Isopropyl Alcohol/water mix to remove any masking products and put the car under the sun. Here's what we found:
Holograms and Swirl Marks are evident. Hidden with wax and/or other masking agent. Holograms: Dark painted cars show this hologram effect on paint. This effect is similar to the 3-D post cards we would buy as kids at Disneyland. Holograms are result of poor buffing practice of hiding swirls or the holograms. The marks were hidden or filled and not removed due to a common factor of time consumption and knowledge of working with these issues.
Working with advanced nano-particle clear coats can be intimidating as well. Some exotic cars come with this harder-to-scratch clear coat, which makes it more time consuming to remove scratches.
Hologram effect and scratches under the sun. Remove any masking agents to see true condition of clear coat.
The results are evident! Using Gloss It Appearance Products, this car was showroom ready!
